Signs You Should Install New GFCI Outlets
Ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) are required in areas in your home near water to help prevent electrocution. Because these can keep your household safe, it’s important to replace the devices before they fail. Some signs that can indicate you need to install new units can include:
- If your outlets start to trip more than usual.
- If your units are cracked or damaged.
- If plugs are starting to slide out of outlets.
Why Timely Electrical Panel Replacement Is Important
Old or outdated electrical panels (sometimes referred to as circuit breaker panels or fuse boxes) can be dangerous. These should only be replaced by a professional electrician who is familiar with Minneapolis and St. Paul homes and has plenty of expertise replacing outdated electrical panels. If you have a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel, call today to learn more about the potential fire hazards associated with those units.
